Claire joined AID-L in June 2019. She is passionate about providing children a voice, increasing their confidence, and teaching children that their words matter. Claire is a PROMPT trained therapist and has a special interest in severe speech sound disorders. She also loves working on social-pragmatic language skills, especially with older children. Claire strives to help instill confidence in each child she works with, whether it be to improve the pronunciation of a speech sound, increase receptive and expressive language skills, or improve a child’s pragmatic language skills.

Claire grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. She fell in love with Greenville while attending Furman University for a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences. Claire later graduated from The University of Alabama with a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, but knew she wanted to move back to South Carolina.
