To apply for Medicaid online, and to see what kind of coverage may be available in South Carolina.  If you do not qualify for Medicaid, this calculator will help you to find additional options.

These are some resources you may use to see if  you are eligible for Medicaid Coverage, it is recommended to apply if you think you may be at all as a Healthy Connections representative will usually take you through your options if you do not qualify.

South Carolina’s Medicaid, Healthy Connections, provides insurance plans for children whose families are at or below 208% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL).

Other Eligibility requirements for children enrolling in Partners for Healthy Children 

  • Be under 19 years of age

  • Be resident of South Carolina

  • Be a U.S. citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident Alien

  • Have a Social Security number or verify an application for one

Do you need help covering transportation expenses?

For Transportation call Logisticare @ 1-866-910-7688 for Region 1 which includes Greenville and Spartanburg. They are the only ride providers in South Carolina.

  • Transportation is available for doctor appointments, dialysis, x-rays, lab work, drug store or other medical appointments.

  • To ask for a ride call at least 3 days before your appointment.

  • Call Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.

  • To cancel a ride call at least 24 hours in advance
