Speech Therapy

The goal of speech and language treatment is to improve communication – we want to give your child a voice. Every child is unique, and that is why our focus is on individualized treatment. Our objective is to collaborate to achieve attainable goals important to you and your child. Length of time in speech or language treatment depends on factors such as the severity of the problem, the frequency of treatment, and the consistency of help at home. We value honesty above all, which is why we are sure to develop challenging, yet realistic goals.

During our one-on-one sessions, we track your child’s progress and areas of growth and communicate that with you. Home programs are given to parents and family members in order to encourage speech and language growth in the home and community. We strive to improve your child’s communication and her or his desire to communicate with others.

At The Advanced Institute for Development and Learning, we provide unparalleled speech and language treatment. As clinicians, we thoroughly evaluate the needs of the child and create an individualized and realistic treatment plan. It is our responsibility to motivate and encourage our patients in order to elicit successful communication.

The treatment we offer can target the following:

  • Articulation
  • Receptive language
  • Expressive language
  • Pragmatics
  • Fluency
  • Communication modalities (augmentative communication)

To start seeing new clients, we need a referral (preferably from a pediatrician).  If you think your child may need to be evaluated, please consult your pediatrician and contact us with any questions you may have.
